Vuyo Mokoena – Remembering

The CD and DVD must rate as one of the very best Gospel compilation ever released in the South African music industry in many years. A fitting tribute to one of the country’s most talented, gifted and much loved Gospel music icon who passed away too early in his lifetime The compilation includes some of the most historic Gospel releases that still have a positive impact on the lives of all who had followed Vuyo’s musical history throughout his illustrious musical career. It includes heart rendering and spiritual healing songs from his own albums such as SISH’UDUMO, THE PSALMIST and his last album, AVULK’AMAAZULU. All these albums had achieved either gold or platinum status. This great tribute compilation project would be incomplete without the inclusion of all of Vuyo’s memorable performances on various DVDs and CDs of one of the best Gospel ensembles in South Africa, the highly celebrated award winning and multi-platinum selling Joyous Celebration. Not forgetting Ntate nthuse from Jabu & Vuyo platinum-selling album, ICULO ELISHA The DVD includes special and exclusive footage titled, A PRAYER FOR VUYO, which was shot at a prayer meeting in Tembisa two weeks before he passed away. This footage features the Queen of Gospel, Rebecca Malope singing Sinje Ngemajuba with Vuyo Mokoena. Everybody who has so far viewed the footage found it difficult to hold back their tears, a memorable and very sad time indeed
